Comhairle na nÓg
About us!
Comhairle na nÓg is a youth council where young people’s voices matter. Here in Wicklow, Comhairle na nÓg gives young people aged 12–18 the chance to have a real say in the decisions that affect their lives.
Each year, members of Wicklow Comhairle na nÓg choose an issue that’s important to young people in the county—whether it’s mental health, drug awareness, education, climate action, or equality. We work together on projects, meet with local decision-makers, and represent the views of young people in Wicklow at both local and national levels.
Wicklow Comhairle na nÓg is supported by Wicklow County Council and is part of a national network of youth councils across Ireland. Every two years, our work is showcased at the Comhairle na nÓg Showcase, and in between, we take part in Dáil na nÓg, Ireland’s national youth parliament. We also run an annual Youth Summit to engage even more young people from across the county.
